Evaluation of the microbial concentration of the air in the sawmill Freedom, agroforestal company Las Tunas
Main Article Content
Abstract
The implementation of Clean Production + in the wood industry, allows to practical solutions aimed at raising the environmental and economic performance of a company. Because the studies carried out in these types of environments on the microbiological quality of the air are insipient, the objectives of this work were: To quantify in colony forming units per cubic meter, the air microbiota in the “Libertad” sawmill belonging to the Las Tunas Agroforestry Company and evaluate the levels of microbiological contamination of the same. In the microbial analysis of the air, the gravimetric sedimentation method was used. According to the values obtained, the premises were classified as contaminated for the case of fungi and not contaminated for bacterial activity.
