Use of forest waste for energy purposes
Main Article Content
Abstract
Biomass in general and forestry in particular, is emerging as a renewable energy resource that must be of sustained use in the not too distant future, due to the increase of the CO2 in the atmosphere as a consequence of the secular use of the fossil fuels, that generates the global warming, as well as the future shortage of these non-renewable fuels. The future of biomass market should be based on a thorough knowledge of the product to be marketed. Therefore the characteristics as a source of energy of this forest biomass and its different form of use should be determined, with the aim of facilitating the settlement of the national market of the same for energy purposes. This paper proposes the use of the aerodynamic technology of the passthrough sections in rotation, for flame burning of forest biomass, which can be used alone or in combination with other combustion technologies, both in existing boiler and in new investments.
