Recruitment of vegetable species associated with a planting of Pinus caribaea Morelet var. caribaea Barret and Golfari fertilized fractioned in the first five years of established

Abstract
The research was carried out in Forest Research Station of Viñales, Pinar del Río, with the objective of evaluating recruitment of the associated vegetation in a plantation of Pinus caribaea Morelet var. caribaea Barret and Golfari subjected to split fertilizer application within its first five years. A randomized block design was used. Each tree height and diameter were measured, whereas the amount of species were counted to be classified as genera, endemic, native and non-native families. Graphs of abundance were represented for the strata up to 1, 30 m high and above 1, 30 m high. Out of the 45 identified species, they are classified, according to its origin, into33 native, eight endemic and four non-natives; the dominance of endemic and native species stands out, thus proving the importance of an appropriate reforestation for recruiting species that constitute natural fertilizers.
