Species with ecological restriction supplying of non-wood forest products in semideciduous forests of the Ciénaga de Zapata
Main Article Content
Abstract
From the inventory of species, carried out in areas of forests semideciduous on floor calcareous and bad drainage in the Ciénaga de Zapata, 23 forest species are determined with ecological restriction, that constitute 18.8 % of the inventory of the striped species and constitute 12 botanical families and 20 genus, with 13 trees (5 palms), 7 shrubs and 2 herbaceous. The species with ecological restriction conform a group of species classified with different denominations: species of special significance for the Resolution 160 of CITMA; strange species; endemic species; threatened species; species protected by the Forest Law; and other species of interest considered by certain significant aspects. The 61 %, approximately, provides varied Non-Wood Forest Products (NWFP) used for the population, which makes necessary measures of environmental education and sustentability to be in forest ecosystems of special significance for the biological diversity of the country and of singular, ecological and social importance.
