Determination of the antioxidant capacity in leaf extracts Tamarindus indica L. on two physiological states
Main Article Content
Abstract
The present work was carried out with the objective of determining the capacity antioxidant of extracts of leaves of Tamarindus indica L. it indicates respectively in the physiologic states of flowering and fructification corresponding to October of 2012 and February of 2013. Later to the obtaining of the flowing extracts with ethanol to 70 % espectrophotometrically was quantified the phenols and total flavonoids concentration, then the extracts were subjected to a successive division with four solvents, the extracts and the obtained fractions were determined the capacity antioxidant by mensuration of the index of oxidation. The results were processed using the program InfoStat 2012. The highest levels in total phenols were obtained in the month of October and those of flavonoids in February. The different obtained extracts of leaves of Tamarindus indica L. they showed capacity antioxidant in the two studied physiologic states, being for all the cases the most active, the extracts of fluid and the fractions of ethyl acetate.
