Reproductive characteristic and first stadiums of sedlings of rattán (Calamus tetradactylus Hance) under the conditions of Topes de Collantes, Sancti Spíritus, Cuba

Abstract
It´s offer the results of some of the first carried out observations in Cuba to the characteristic reproductive y first stages of seedlings of the Calamus tetradactylus Hance specie under the conditions of Topes of Collantes, Municipality of Trinidad in Sancti Spíritus province. The importance of the species is explained like raw material in the market of the factory, basketwork and furniture in Cuba and in the Asian Southeast. The observations were carried out and registered following the general methods for the conduction of this experiment type, obtaining similar results to those reported by other authors about these characters under the conditions of their natural habitat. The obtained results show positive aspects as for the adaptability from the species to the conditions of the mentioned place.
