Evaluation of species morphological parameters Fraxinus caroliniana Mill. var. cubensis G. a different positions of planting the seed
Main Article Content
Abstract
The conservation of plant genetic resources is an important component of long-term management to achieve sustained productivity and profit. In order to evaluate the morphological parameters (height, diameter of root collar and slenderness ratio), in Agro-Forestry Experimental Station Itabo, were evaluated two positions of planting seeds (horizontal and vertical) of Fraxinus caroliniana Mill var. cubensis G. The data were processed using the t Student test for independent samples and Wilcoxon (Mann-Whitney U), yielding results that position as vertical planting showed the best results for the height and diameter of the root collar neck; slenderness ratio for the similar results were obtained.
