Woody plant diversity in natural population of Picea martinezii T. F. Patterson
Main Article Content
Abstract
The aim of the study was to describe the woody plant diversity associated in the natural forest of Picea martinezii en México which is an endemic taxon distributed only in four populations: La Encantada, El Butano, AguaLardín y Agua Fría in the state of Nuevo León. The sampling was done in three to four permanent plots of 1000 m2 in each population. The diversity was estimated using the several indexes such as: specie richness with curve of specie richness, Shannon-Wienner and Simpson. The Picea martinezii forest has associated more than 30 taxa and the Agua Lardín population had the higher diversity indexes.
