Induction of bud from stakes cedar (Cedrela odorata L.) and performance indicators derived growth in buds
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Cedar (Cedrela odorata L.) is one of the most important species for the Cuban forest sector, however currently there are problems related to intensive exploitation of natural plantings. The in vitro culture techniques, applied in trees with characteristics sufficient to express interest age is an effective method to reduce the time necessary for obtaining improved plantations basis. Cloning of mature trees is usually difficult but can be achieved with the use of different factors in the rejuvenation of the plant material. The present study aimed to induce sprouting and rejuvenation of outbreaks in cedar stakes placed in four solutions of growth regulators and evaluate the behavior of indicators of growth (fresh weight (g) and dry mass (g)) in shoots obtained, in order to obtain quality sprouts for introduction to the culture in vitro.
