Influences of prescribed burns in vegetation dynamic in pinus sp. Natural blended forests
Main Article Content
Abstract
The research was developed at the Forest Hydrological Station Amistad in Pinus tropicalis Morelet and Pinus caribaea var. caribaea blended natural forest. The influence of prescribed burns in the dynamics of the vegetation associated to Galalón hidrographic watershed. To evaluate the effects of the fire several ecological parameters were considered: floristic richness, abundance and index of diversity (using the index of Shannon-Weaver). Also, the form of life and reproductive strategies, considering plants spread by seeds, rebrotes and both. Obtaining as results that the fire didn’t affect the structure of the vegetation and the or floristic composition . One year later diversity did not vary significantly and the presence of endemic and other species increased.
