Mathematical modelling of the mean height growing of Pinus cubensis Griseb at the Integral Forest Enterprise Baracoa
Main Article Content
Abstract
Mathematical modelling constitutes a very useful tool for the planning and administration of the forest ecosystems. With the objective of predicting the behavior of the mean height in plantations of Pinus cubensis Griseb of the Integral Forest Enterprise Baracoa, eight models non- lineal regression were evaluated. The model of the best goodness of fit for the mean hight was that of Gompertz, being able to explain high variability, with a coefficient of determination of 80,1 %, parameters of high significance (P <0.001). The curves that describe the evolution in time of the annual mean increment (IMA), and the annual periodical increment (ICA) of this variable are provided.
