Programas de secado natural De Pinus caribaea y Pinus tropicalis
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this paper we define the drying schedules for two species of the genera Pinus established in Pinar del Río province: P. caribaea and P. tropi- cales by using the pile dimensions studied by Morales et al. (1985) as well as a method, which has been studied by us in some other precedent researches. Equations which relate respectively the drying time with the saw timber thickness by using a regresión análisis were obtained. Other equations obtained for each thickness of the studied species show a relation between the word humidity and the drying time. Even when the behavior of thickness is different for each species, both require no more than 84 days to dry out the bulkiest studied sample (50 mm), so they can be considered as similar in their way of reaction to an outdoor drying process.
